A Satellite in My Body

A Satellite in My Body presents a speculative wearable, an extra organ, that responds in real time to satellites passing overhead, translating invisible orbital infrastructure into light, sound, and vibration. Accompanied by a manifesto and digital platform, the project reframes the body as a sensing node within technological systems rather than a passive subject beneath them. It invites a shared sensory experience and asks how orbital infrastructure could become a commons rather than a privatized resource.
The installation presents the first prototype of a speculative future network in which multiple wearables could communicate with one another. It comes with a manifesto text, its own visual identity and a digital platform (satelliteinmybody.com) that includes our manifesto, a DIY guide for building the wearable, an invitation and instruction to make your own and our further stance and research around governance and orbital structures.
